Storm Guard Restoration, LLC is committed to ensuring that your home is fully protected immediately after a roof damaging storm. Under most home owner’s insurance policies, you, the homeowner is responsible for protecting your interior at all costs. By not doing so “You” are held responsible for any interior damages that may be caused by prolonged exposure from a leaking or blown off roof. In our extensive storm experience with Hail damage, Hurricanes, and straight line wind storms these cost can easily reach as high as fifty to one hundred thousand dollars.
Tarp Shortages
The easiest way to protect your leaking roof is by what the insurance industry refers to as a “Temporary Roof Covering” or “Blue Tarp”. Blue tarps can be purchased at any home improvement store or discount retailers like Wal-Mart or K-Mart. Keep in mind that these stores only carry a limited number of tarps. When a storm catastrophe hits these tarps are gone within hours leaving your home vulnerable to the elements water, mildew and mold! Storm Guard’s Emergency Tarping Division stocks enough emergency Tarping to cover thousands of roofs in your area.
Risk of Injury and Proper Installation
In addition to tarp shortages, the number of injuries and fatalities to homeowners attempting to tarp their own roof is increasing every year. The vast majority of homeowners are not confident or competent to attempt this. Proper installation is also essential to protecting your home. Many homeowners have paved the way on their own just to find the tarp has blow off within days after a thunderstorm due to improper installation. Storm Guard has experienced tarping installers that are highly trained in safety as well as proper installation. Our tarps are specially designed to last sixty to ninety days. This is more than enough time to protect your home until we install your permanent roofing system.
Cost and Insurance Reimbursement
Storm Guard Tarp Pricing is based on your current market conditions. Our goal is to make sure that homeowners are treated fairly and honestly in a catastrophe situation. We base our pricing on two separate factors, the current FEMA rates for installing and the current insurance price list for emergency roof covering. This figure is generally between $1.60 to $1.80 per square foot. We have a $400 minimum repair charge and we can install your emergency tarp the same day you contact us. Please keep in mind that all tarping jobs are done on a prepaid basis only. For your convenience we accept cashier’s checks and credit cards only for this service. Once payment is collected we will issue you a paid invoice to give to your insurance adjuster, and once he/she has this, your insurance company will pay you 100% reimbursement for the tarping service.
Tarping Warranty
Your temporary roof tarp is covered by a 30 day warranty. This warranty guarantees the workmanship from the tarp coming off the roof under normal weather conditions.
